Veterinary Graduate Support

As a new graduate, we’re committed to helping you begin your veterinary career with confidence. Your development will be supported with designated mentors, additional time in consultations and a varied caseload so you can be sure your ability and knowledge will continue to grow.

You’ll be part of a large, experienced team and have regular meetings with your seniors to ensure your voice is always heard. We’re also proud to continually be investing in our surgeries, meaning you will always have access to an advanced range of equipment and facilities.

It’s the #reasonswecare that make all the difference

To become a better you

You’re a professional, a scientist, and an animal lover. Become empowered to grow, learn new clinical skills and fulfil all the reasons you trained to become a vet or nurse.

To shape the future

Science is continuously evolving, which is why we work as a team to follow and develop the best practices for our patients in an open, honest, and blame-free culture.

To focus on what matters

We don’t set individual ‘sales’ targets, allowing you to be a clinician, not a salesperson. Patients are advised based on the best option for them, regardless of the best financial option for Animal Trust.

To maintain your wellbeing

We believe in checking in regularly with each and every staff member. Have your voice heard on where you want to grow and what stresses we can help relieve.

To thrive in bigger surgeries

We work in big, busy surgeries meaning you're surrounded by an incredible range of cases. Be part of a large successful team of like-minded people who'll value your ideas, and provide with support every step of your patient’s (and your) journey.

To be recognised

We operate a flat management structure and collaborate as a team, striving to be the very best we can with a nose to tail approach to improvement.

Let's find out more about our new Values

Breaking Down Barriers

We do everything we can to help the wider population of pets access care, and we’ll always find a solution to allow a sick pet to be seen. We give owners a straightforward choice and are transparent in our pricing.

One Community

Social inclusiveness and poverty reduction matter to us. We are efficient with the resources we have, and care about environmental protection and climate change.

Never Stop Learning

We want to keep improving, and to help others to be the best version of themselves.

Trust

We build trust through responsible actions and honest relationships. We treat every person and pet as we would want to be treated ourselves. We trust our colleagues and have their backs – we can only succeed as a team.

Why Animal Trust?

As a new graduate vet, it was important for me to find a surgery that would allow me to work independently and grow my skills, while still providing support and guidance whenever I needed it. Animal Trust has definitely fulfilled this, and every day I feel valued. The caseload is so varied and I’m encouraged to make my own decisions while knowing that my team are always approachable and supportive. My lead vet will always take time to feedback on my performance and values my opinion, which makes me feel comfortable and appreciated in the working environment.

Why Animal Trust?

I joined Animal Trust because I wanted to be part of something exciting and fast growing. The company has always encouraged me to progress myself and has invested in my development. Since joining, I’ve grown my independence, confidence and have become Lead Veterinary Nurse. I’m lucky to be part of a team that really value each other; we all agree that we’re here because we care about providing the best possible service to animals while keeping our costs affordable. Seeing the difference we make to a pet’s and owner’s lives as a not-for-profit team is so satisfying. The company continues to invest back into the surgeries to ensure that we always have the best possible resources available.
