Professional veterinary advice from inside your home
Vet telephone and video consultations are suitable for owners who have a concern about their pet, but the pet is not sick enough to need to attend the surgery.
Our friendly and experienced vets will talk through your concerns, offer advice and can prescribe medication if they feel this is suitable for your pet.
If our vets decide that it is best for your pet to be seen for a physical consultation you will be given an appointment at your local Animal Trust surgery.
Please note; there is a ÂŁ9.75 supplement for a telephone consultation with a vet and calls take place between 9 am – 6:30 pm. A ÂŁ14.50 supplement applies  for using our video consultation service. Our face to face consultations remain free of charge.
If you’re not yet registered with us, you can still book an appointment using the form below. To speed up your booking and registration process, please register your pet first.
How does it work?
Is a video/telephone consultation right for you?
When our pets show signs of feeling unwell, it can be scary for both pet and pet owner in even in the most usual of circumstances. A video consultation is right for you if your pet is not showing any life-threatening symptoms, such as:
- Unable to pass urine or faeces
- They have ingested a toxic substance (plants, food)
- Collapse
- Seizure/ fitting
- Breathing difficulties
- Vomiting or experiencing diarrhoea for more than 24 hours
- Loss of thirst or appetite
- Swollen abdomen
- Eye problems
- They’ve been in an accident
- Open wounds
If your pet is showing any of the signs mentioned above, please contact your nearest emergency vet as soon as possible. For more advice, we’ve created a guide which includes information on when to visit the emergency vet.Â
